Main Functions

• The app allows users to add a number, eliminating the need for additional handsets or upgrading to dual-SIM devices.
• Each number features its own interface that includes essential functions such as dialing, phonebook, messages, voicemail, and a separate WhatsApp account.
• Flexibility in payment plans is offered with options for daily or monthly subscriptions. The registration process is straightforward and efficient.
• Users can add up to four numbers, which includes both local and “Easy Number” Mainland Mobile Numbers.
• This service is exclusively available to existing SmarTone mobile monthly plan customers.

Charges:

• Daily Plan (No contract required): HK$5 for each number, capped at HK$35 every 30 days.
• Monthly Plan (Contract Offer): HK$30 per month for each number with a 12-month contract.

Remarks:

• Voice, data, messaging, IDD, and roaming usage will be deducted from the main number’s service plan. Additional usage will incur charges on the monthly bill accordingly.
• Calls made using mobile numbers under this service will count as voice minutes and incur voice usage charges.
• Calls made from fixed-line numbers will use data services, resulting in applicable data charges.
• This service supports smartphones running Android™ 6.0 or above.

“Easy Number” Mainland Mobile Number

• The service is designed for seamless integration into the digital landscape of mainland China.
• Just activate it on your mobile device and complete Real-name Registration by uploading required documents; the mainland mobile number can be activated within two days.
• Easily register for services and access applications in mainland China for various functionalities including confirmation SMS, transaction messages, and one-time passwords.
• Allows for sending and receiving SMS as well as receiving calls while in mainland China.
• Obtain a “Real-name Registration Certificate” via the CARE App to link with bank accounts, utilize mobile payment applications, or shop online without necessitating SIM swaps.

Remarks:

• The applicability and scope of the Mainland Mobile Number service depend on the network coverage and service terms of third-party providers. Customers should directly contact these providers for detailed information.
• This service is available only to customers who have subscribed to SmarTone’s monthly mobile service plan with a valid Hong Kong Identity Card. The applicant must be either the account holder or an authorized user appointed by the account holder, with a minimum age requirement of 18. If an authorized user manages the account on behalf of the account holder under a monthly mobile service plan, the account holder cannot apply for this service.
• A maximum of three Standard Plans may be subscribed by each Hong Kong Identity Card holder, with each SmarTone mobile phone number eligible for one Standard Plan only. Each Standard Plan provides one mainland mobile number.
• Roaming charges may apply based on usage when receiving calls or sending/receiving SMS outside Hong Kong.
• This service exclusively allows sending messages to dedicated mainland phone numbers (e.g., 12306, 9xxxx, 106xxxxxx) as well as Hong Kong and overseas mobile numbers.
• Customers must comply with the Registration of True Identity Information requirements for mainland mobile numbers by submitting personal information along with a copy of their valid Mainland Travel Permit (with at least three months' validity) and a recent photograph.
